What are the most common sertraline side effects?

“I recently started taking sertraline and have been feeling more tired and a bit dizzy. Are these common sertraline side effects?”

Sertraline side effects most commonly include insomnia, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, tremors, diarrhea, dry mouth, increased sweating, nausea, low libido, and fatigue.

Less common side effects from sertraline (Zoloft) include decreased appetite, symptoms of depression or anxiety, agitation, mental confusion, palpitations, vision problems, involuntary movements, and allergic reactions.

If you have questions about potential side effects, speak with the psychiatrist or primary care provider who prescribed the medication, and let them know about any bothersome or unusual symptoms you are experiencing.
