Dr. Poli graduated from the Medicine program at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 1999. She obtained her Master's degree in Gastroenterology from the Faculty of Medicine of USP, and is licensed to practiced with the CRM-SP under license # 114099.

She is an active member of the Brazilian Federation of Gastroenterology (FBG) and the Brazilian Inflammatory Bowel Disease Study Group (GEDIIB).

She is currently the Head of the Gastroenterology Back-up Team at Hospital e Maternidade São Luiz and Hospital Vila Nova Star in São Paulo.
