Karla Santos Leal studied Nutrition at the Universidade do Grande Rio (Unigranrio-RJ) and graduated in 2010. She is registered to practice with the Conselho Regional Nutricionistas CRN-4 (Brasil) under license # 10100509.

She obtained a post-graduate in Clinical Nutrition and Esthetics at the Faculdade Monteiro Lobato - IPGS in 2014, as well as a Masters in Public Health at the Universidade do Porto in Portugal.
