​​Flávia da Costa Ferreira earned her Pharmacy degree at the Centro Universitário Newton Paiva in 2003. 

She obtained a post-graduate in Pharmacology at the Universidade Federal de Lavras in 2005, as well another post-graduate in Clinical Pharmacy at the Centro Universitário Newton Paiva in 2006. She is skilled in the industry and has experience in hospital, oncology, hematology and clinical pharmacy. 

She went on to obtain her Masters in Biomedical Sciences at the Universidade da Beira Interior (UBI) in Portugal.
