Dr. Sylvia Lemos Hinrichsen is an infectious disease specialist. She has a masters and doctorate in Tropical Medicine from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE). She is licensed to practice with the CRM-PE under license # 6522.

Dr. Hinrichsen is a consultant in Biosecurity, Infection Control and Hospital Hygiene Risks, and is the head professor of Tropical Medicine at the UFPE.

She is the coordinating infectious disease specialist for the Programa de Stewardship de Antimicrobianos (PSA) do Nordeste (ISMEP).
