Drinking coconut water is a great way to cool off on a hot day or replenish mineral salts that you have lost through sweat during a physical activity. It has few calories and virtually no fat and cholesterol, having more potassium than 4 bananas.

Coconut water is especially suitable for physical activity but is a good choice to cool off on the beach. Being a natural sports drink it can be consumed by people of all ages, including babies and has no side effects, being great for curing hangovers and getting rid of kidney stones.

1. Hydrate the body

Coconut water replenishes mineral salts, having a slightly sweet taste and is very tasty cold. Since it has a pleasant taste you can enjoy drinking coconut water when you are thirsty to ensure hydration of the body, skin and hair.

2. Helps to cure hangovers

Drinking coconut water is a great strategy to fight hangovers faster. It contains calories and the natural sugars present can help to rise blood glucose, countering symptoms such as malaise and bloating because it may help purify the liver.

3. Improves kidney function

As it is water, crossing the digestive tract and finally reaching the blood it can help to remove toxins and stimulates the functioning of the your kidneys, producing more urine. The more urine is produced the greater the mobilization of the small crystals that form giving rise to kidney stones, so it acts in preventing this and also helps with its treatment.
